Kamelia is also a parent of an adult son with autism, and legal guardian to another young man with IDD.

Kamelia has extensive background and work history in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has a strong passion to serve, and an immense level of dedication to the disability community.  She’s a tireless advocate for fostering and promoting independence, choice, dignity, individuality, advancement and improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

She has led the business development projects of various programs for children and adults with disabilities, specialty long term care units and adult day programs. She has extensive experience in developing fundraising campaigns as well as community and political outreach.
