Thomas Reuters Foundation News recently released an article, Stigma, poverty leave 'cursed' disabled children neglected in Kenya's orphanages, covering DRI's latest report - Infanticide and Abuse: Killing and confinement of children with disabilities in Kenya.

The article details the stigma, lack of support, and pressure to abandon or even kill their children born with disabilities that mothers in Kenya face. 

"Mothers are often sent home without any information or care plan as doctors feel children with disabilities are "not worth it" or are "not going to make it"
