UN DESA and leading thinkers on the rights of persons with disabilities held a conversation about the “UN Disability and Development Report 2024”, which addresses, at the global level, the nexus between disability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

Speakers discussed the most recent global analysis based on an unprecedented amount of data, legislation and policies from all countries to understand the socioeconomic circumstances of persons with disabilities worldwide, the progress made so far and the challenges and barriers they still face in their daily lives, including the exacerbated impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
